DECREE which reforms Article 61 of the General Health Law.

ENRIQUE PEÑA NIETO, President of the United Mexican States, its inhabitants know:

That the Honorable Congress of the Union, has served to direct me the following

DECREE

"THE GENERAL CONGRESS OF THE UNITED MEXICAN STATES, DECREES:

ARTICLE 61 OF THE GENERAL LAW OF HEALTH IS REFORMED.

UNIQUE ARTICLE. Fractions II, III, IV and V of article 61 of the General Health Law are reformed, to be as follows:
Article 61.- ...

I. ...
II. The child's care and the monitoring of its growth, integral development, including the promotion of timely vaccination, prenatal care, as well as the prevention and detection of conditions and hereditary and congenital diseases, and if necessary, attention, including Application of the expanded sieve test, and your visual health;
III. Retinal revision and auditory sieve to the premature;
IV. Application of neonatal ophthalmologic screen, at the fourth week of the birth , for the early detection of malformations that can cause blindness, and its treatment, in all its degrees, y
V. The child's attention and vigilance during growth and development, Y promotion of integration and family welfare.

TRANSIENT

ONLY. This Decree shall enter into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
